Thanks to Dominic Taddei for sending me the story above and one of Charles Cook’s mission sheets showing him piloting a mission in the 7F “WILLIE”. The mission of December 14, 1944 was to bomb the RR bridge on the Po River at Chivasso, Italy to hinder German supply lines.
